Yunju Lee Receives National Recognition

LIBERAL, Kan. - Seward County Community College volleyball student-athlete Yunju Lee has been awarded NJCAA National Offensive Player of the week, AVCA Two-Year Player of the Week, and KJCCC Setter of the week

.Lee has been the Lady Saints main setter and had 145 assists in 17 sets played and added 42 digs as well. Lee, a freshman from Hwaseong, South Korea, can make adjustments mid-match and was the main reason for the turnaround against Iowa Western, after losing 9-25 in the first set the Lady Saints won the next three sets to defeat the Reivers. Lee will lead the Lady Saints this season as the floor general and started off with an amazing week one performance.

Last week the Lady Saints went 2-3 overall and included a tough schedule with 4 of the matches against top 12 opponents in the NJCAA Division 1 standing. 

Seward is undefeated in conference play at 2-0 and will face off against 1-1 Dodge City Community College at 6:30 pm tonight in the Greenhouse.
