Women’s Soccer Ties with Dodge City in Shutout

Liberal, KAN – Wednesday night the Seward County Lady Saints women's soccer team made the hour trip to Dodge City to take on the Conquistadors in conference action where the game quickly turned into a defensive battle which ended in a shutout tie between the two teams at 0-0.
Both halves between Seward County and Dodge City remained completely scoreless as both teams kept their opposition from landing any shots on goal. Freshman goalkeeper Sydney Williams recorded seven saves through all 90:00 minutes for the Lady Saints to hold off DC3 in the shutout and grab a result against the Conquistadors. Seward County was able to get off only 7 shots in the game with only three of them being on goal and all three of those shots on goal came from freshman Natoya Atkinson.
Seward County women's soccer now sits at 0-4-1 on their inaugural season in 2023. They will return home this Friday for a matchup against Butler with kickoff set for 1:00 PM at Redskin Field in Liberal, Kansas.
