Following two years on the mound for the Saints in the 2023 and 2024 seasons, TJ Newman has signed to the four-year level with Evangel University to continue his baseball career at the next level for the Valors.

Baseball Earns ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award

Liberal, KAN. - The Seward County Saints baseball team was able to find a lot of success on the field during the 2024 season and they matched that with their success in the classroom which earned them national recognition, being named a recipient of the 2023-2024 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award. This award acknowledges the top academic performances from every baseball team throughout the NCAA, NJCAA, NAIA, and High School levels with an overall GPA above 3.0. This is the fifth time that Seward County baseball has earned this award, having earned it in 2016, 2019, 2021, 2023 and now 2024 for the second straight year.

43 Seward County Student Athletes Earn NJCAA All¬-Academic Honors

Following the 2023-24 Academic calendar year, Seward County had 43 student-athletes recognized in the NJCAA with All-Academic honors after putting in the hard work in the classroom to keep their grades up to at least a 3.60 throughout the entire academic year.

Raney Inks with Dakota State Trojans

Following a two-year career with Seward County that saw the Saints record back-to-back 30+ win seasons, sophomore outfielder Connor Raney has signed with the Trojans of Dakota State University to continue his collegiate career at the four-year level.
