
Saints Brooks Barber earns KJCCC West Player of the Week award
COLBY, Kan. -- Saints Brooks Barber was named KJCCC Baseball Player of the Week for the West Division for Week Eight.
Barber was a bright spot for the Saints last week as the freshman had seven hits in 13 at-bats and had four extra-base hits for Seward County while driving in eight RBI during a four-game series with Hutchinson Community College. Helping SCCC to a 16-6 win in game two of the series, Barber went three-for-four with a double, a home run, and five RBI in the game.
For the week, Barber had three multi-hit games and scored six times while also drawing two walks.
Barber is the fifth baseball Saint to earn the weekly award this season. The four other players named this season were Nathan Hopkins, Braden Whipple, Blaine Chancy and Brooks Kappelmann.
