Bio

Preston Caldwell enters his second year with Seward County Community College as he transitions into the role of Assistant Athletic Director of Operations. During the 2022-2023 athletic year Caldwell served as the Athletic Coordinator of Operations & Eligibility where he helped manage the internal operatons of the athletic department while also serving as a game administrator and supervisor of all student and game workers.

Caldwell was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and joined the Seward County Athletic Department after earning his master's degree from the University of Arkansas in Recreation and Sport Management in 2022. While at the University of Arkansas, Caldwell held a position in Event Services. In this role Caldwell was an event coordinator for around 20-30 daily events ranging from small attended events to large scale multi-departmental events with attendances over 1,000 guests.

Prior to his time at the University of Arkansas, Caldwell attended and earn a bachelors degree from Louisiana State University (LSU) in Sports Administration. During his time at LSU he served as a Marketing Intern for the Lousiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) where he managed the social media presence for an organization with over 35,000 followers across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. While with the LHSAA he helped operational with the Football State Championship held in the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, LA. 

Caldwell's first experience in college athletics was during his freshman year at the University of West Florida, where he was a student intern for the football program from 2014-15. He learned behind the scenes of an athletic department as he worked with documentation and compliance. 

Also, a former student at Baton Rouge Community College, Coldwell knows firsthand the community college routine as a student and is a valuable asset to understanding the college experience that our student-athletes are in. 

Caldwell resides in Liberal, Kansas, and is a Saints Booster Club member.
