M’Madi Earns Honorable Mention After Stellar Freshman Season
Liberal, Kansas – After leading the Saints in scoring as a freshman for Seward County, Mathias M'Madi was recognized by the coaches in the Jayhawk Conference on Thursday March 21st as an Honorable Mention selection to the All-Conference awards.

The France native was an offensive threat during his first season in Liberal as he averaged 14.7 points per game for the Saints to lead them in scoring while also recording 4.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. M'Madi really began to step up his game towards the final chunk of the season with his scoring when he recorded 20+ points in five of his last nine games including a career high of 37 on 58% shooting from the field against Pratt in the regular season finale. Throughout the year he reached double figures in sixteen games and hitting the 20+ point mark in seven of them.
M'Madi showed his improvement through the final chunk of the season and will look to continue that success next season after finishing the 2023-24 season 8-23 overall with a Jayhawk conference record of 6-18.
