Three Seward Teams Earn Top KJCCC GPA

The academic recognition continues for Seward County athletic teams, as the 2016-17 KJCCC academic report was released Monday (Aug. 7) with three SCCC teams earning the top cumulative GPA in their respective sports. Men and women’s tennis, along with women’s basketball, all earned the highest GPA in their sports.
28 Saints Receive NJCAA Academic Student-Athlete Awards

LIBERAL, Kan. (June 12, 2017) – Seward County student-athletes continue to excel both on the field and in the classroom, as 28 Saints qualified for national academic honors for the 2016-17 school year. This was the fifth straight year that Seward saw an increase in NJCAA All-Academic winners.
Saints Hoops Announces Individual Summer Skills Camp Schedule

New Seward County Head Coach Jason Sautter has announced the return of an individual skills camp for youngsters grades 2nd through 8th to the Greenhouse this summer. Sautter, along with Assistant Coaches Luke Adams and Carlo Walton will hold the camps June 27-29 with players heading into 2nd through 5th grade going from 9:00 am to noon and players 6th through 8th grade going in the afternoon from 1:00 to 4:00. Sautter Adds Adams to Men's Basketball Staff

Seward County Head Coach Jason Sautter signed a star recruit to help his 2017-2018 Saints squad on Monday, but it wasn’t one that will be wearing a uniform for the upcoming season, it comes with former Texas Tech Red Raider Luke Adams who joins Sautter’s bench as an Assistant Coach.
Roy Allen Appointed Seward Interim Director of Athletics

Seward County Athletics will move ahead under the leadership of a new Interim Director of Athletics — one with a familiar face. Trustees appointed Roy Allen to the position, after discussion in executive session, at the regular May meeting Monday night.
Auger & Colvin's Enshrined in Saints Hall of Fame

Three familiar and deserving faces were inducted into the Saints Athletics Hall of Fame on Friday at the annual Hall of Fame Banquet in the Greenhouse as Softball great Courtney Auger as well as longtime supporters Bill & Virginia Colvin took their place as the class of 2017 in front of a crowd of 300.

Trio of Saints Sign National LOI's

Three Seward County sophomores signed on the dotted line Wednesday afternoon in the All-American Room at SCCC as Spencer Franklin inked with Longwood, Charles Beauregard signed at Southwestern Oklahoma State, and Ernest Carter penned to head home to Topeka and Kansas Wesleyan on National Signing Day 2017.
Beauregard Joins 1,000 Point Club in Season Ending Loss

The Seward County Saints gave it a valiant run, but came up short 76-62 against the Barton Cougars in the first round of the Region VI Tournament, ending Seward’s season at 9-22. In the loss, Charles Beauregard joined elite company, becoming one of just 13 players in school history to reach the 1,000 point mark, tying Shelby Walton for 12th place with 1,001 career points at night’s end.
Saints Knock Off Rival Busters in Regular Season Finale

For all intents and purposes, the Seward County Saints didn’t have anything to play for Monday night at home as they took on the rival Garden City Broncbusters. The only thing was, someone forgot to tell them that. Seward came out with arguably their most passionate effort of the season, outlasting the Busters 77-68 on sophomore night in the Greenhouse to head to the Region VI Tournament on a high note.
Beauregard's 40 Not Enough in Saints Loss

Charles Beauregard became one of just four players in Seward County history to score 40 points in a game Saturday afternoon in Dodge City, but his big day wasn’t enough as Seward dropped to 1-12 on the road this season with an 80-70 loss in their first trip to the Conquistadors brand new DC3 Student Activities Center.

The Seward County Saints put together one of their best 40 minute efforts of the season Saturday night at home in the Greenhouse against Independence, unfortunately for the guys in green, it wasn’t enough in an 83-75 loss in which they played with just six dressed players.

Saints Shut Down in Chanute

The Seward County Saints won’t be disappointed if they don’t have to see the Neosho County Panthers again this season as for the second straight game against the Panthers, Seward was completely shut down on the offensive end Wednesday night, managing just 57 points in a 13 point loss to fall to last place once again in the Jayhawk Conference standings.
