Liberal, KS – Down the Stretch

The SCCC Smash Brothers teams returned Tuesday night and were guaranteed one win and one loss as Priscilla Davis was pitted against fellow Saints player Edward Rios in a best of 7 contest. Davis came out hot, taking two rounds off Rios early before he bounced back and got the win in round three. Davis, however, recovered and sent her teammate down into the losing collumn as Davis won 4 – 1. Marcos Montoya had a tough set against his opponent from State Technical College of Missouri as he couldn't find a way past the STCM player's defenses and fell 0 – 4 in his matchup.

The Fortnite Build team had an easy win against Johnston Community College Tuesday night as well.  Luis Ortiz and Adan Rodriguez sent out their kill squad into the battlegrounds in a race to rack up frags.  The JCC team fell in the round early, leaving Ortiz and Rodriguez time to leisurely collect their points.  In the second round, the JCC team lasted a little longer, but not as long as Ortiz who ran it back and ran up the score to give the Saints a 2 – 0 win in the set.

The Harrisburg Area Community College Hawks challenged the Saints in Overwatch Wednesday night in a best of 5 set. HACC won the first round, but the Saints had an amazing rally to clutch the second. After that, HACC turned it on and kept the Green team reeling with the Saints falling 1 – 3.

The Saints Madden teams had a tough night against their opponents on the virtual gridiron with HACC returning in Madden to challenge Akele Powdrill in a best of 3 set.  Costly mistakes and interceptions during his set kept Powdrill playing from behind all night long as he eventually fell 0 – 2. Landon Davis didn't fare much better against his foe from Marshalltown with the Tigers player having an unbeatable run game that found holes in Davis' defense all game long as he lost on the night 0 – 2.  Dwayne Moran squared off against Eastern Georgia State Community College and had a much easier time. Moran dominated his set, running away with the ball and running up the score to finish his matches 2 – 0.

Hinds Community College challenged the Saints in a Call of Duty 2v2 Gunfight early Thursday with Nicholas Benson and Dwayne Moran falling behind early and just couldn't get the momentum they needed to overcome the HCC crew as they lost 0 – 3.

The raceway was hot for Mario Kart Thursday night as well and some tough competition showed up against the Saints as Priscilla Davis struggled against her opponent from Lorain Community College. The race was back and forth, but the LCC player ended up clinching the victory 2 – 4. Lyz Taylor had to face off against Eastern Georgia State College and had an even tougher time against their racer, eventually falling 0 – 4 in her sets. Landon Davis turned on the turbo for his races against Trinity Valley, zooming around the track and keeping the TVCC player in the rearview to win 4 – 1.
