Hello Lady Saints fans! I feel so lucky to have been given the opportunity of playing volleyball here at Seward County! Being away from home is hard but both the community of Liberal and my teammates and coaches at Seward have really welcomed me. I've learned so many new things already thanks to all my teachers, my great coaches; Coach Luallen and Coach B-Allen, and all of my teammates in the three short months that I have been here.

Coming from a small town, I already had a feel of what it would be like to live Liberal, Kansas. Although Liberal is smaller than my hometown, it is just as welcoming and supportive! We've had some great turnouts at our home games and I love seeing all of the community members in the stands. Another thing that I really like is that all of my teammates and I have booster families. The Hay family is Kelci Bedingfield and I's booster family. They come to all of our home games, let us do our laundry at their house if we need to, and we have dinner together every once in a while. Having the Hay family as my booster family has really helped me to feel more welcome and more a part of the community.

The teachers and other staff at Seward County are also very welcoming. All of my teachers are very kind and willing to help in any way they can. They are all also very understanding of my volleyball schedule and work with me to be sure that I am always caught up in class. Along with the staff, the students are very supportive. We've always been able to count on our fellow students coming to our home games and cheering us on, which really helps us on the court.

As we wind down our season with the Region VI Tournament in Hutchinson this weekend (and hopefully Nationals after that!) we are working even harder in practice and really pushing ourselves to improve. We finished the regular season in 3rd place, with a record of 23-18 overall and 10-6 in conference. Although we've had some ups and downs this season I am looking forward to playing our best volleyball this weekend and really showing everyone how good we are.

Thank you to everyone for all of the support this season! I hope to see everyone again next year in the Greenhouse!
