First round of NJCAA National Championship set to begin tomorrow for the Lady Saints

TYLER, Texas - The practice rounds are finished and the Lady Saints are ready to begin competition at the NJCAA Women's Tennis National Tournament with all five of the Lady Saint competitors seeded inside of the top-8 of their draws.

Seward County finished the Region VI tournament in the 2nd place spot, qualifying them for the NJCAA National Tournament here in Tyler, TX. The tournament will kickoff at 8 a.m. CT time tomorrow as the Lady Saints will open the tournament with 4 out of 5 Lady Saints in competition. The complete listing of who and when the Lady Saints will compete in the first rounds of the tournament is listed below:

#1 Singles - 5/6/2023

(5) Camille Belberka vs. Saryn Seely (Sauk Valley Community College) - 8 a.m. CT

#2 Singles - 5/7/2023

(1) Carol Mora - First Round BYE, will face the winner of Chiara Florenza (Iowa Central Community College) and Lexie Luders (Wallace State) on Sunday at 8 a.m. CT.

#3 Singles - 5/6/2023

(8) Ana Isabela Serrano vs. Emma Semery (Iowa Central Community College) - 9:15 a.m. CT

#4 Singles - 5/6/2023

(8) Jaena Morais vs. Hayden Hensarling (Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College) - 10:30 a.m. CT

#5 Singles - 5/7/2023

(4) Camila Corrales - First Round BYE, will face winner of Kendall Burn (Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College) and Makenna Schaffner (Iowa Central Community College) on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. CT.

#1 Doubles - 5/7/2023

(3) Camille Belberka/Carol Mora - First Round BYE, will face winner of Hannah Markiewicz/Izabella Slezakova (Moraine Valley Community College) and Maud Tsaura/Camila Vanegas (East Central Community College) on Sunday at 11:45 a.m. CT.

(5) Jaena Morais/Ana Isabela Serrano - First Round BYE, will face winner of Makenna Schaffner/Emma Semery (Iowa Central Community College) and Hannah Vosteen/Taji Williams (Coastal Alabama Community College) on Sunday at 11:45 a.m. CT.
