Kristen Silva enters her third season as Head Coach of the Lady Saints softball program entering the 2025 season.

Silva led Seward County to their best season since the 2018 campaign during her second year as the Head Coach for the Lady Saints in 2024. Seward County ended the season with a 26-23 overall record while going 19-13 in KJCCC action for fifth place finish following the regular season. An eight-game win streak with sweeps over Garden City, Barton, NW Kansas Tech, and Pratt to climb as high as third in the standings before entering the Region VI Tournament as the five seed against Colby where the Lady Saints grabbed a first-round win in run rule fashion with a 13-0 win in five innings. Silva saw three of her players earn All-KJCCC honors with Aaliyah Gutierrez earning First Team honors after breaking both the single season and career stolen base records as a sophomore, while Raeana Ortiz and Anberlin O’Dell were both named to the second team.
During her first season in Liberal, Silva guided the Lady Saints to a 7th place finish in the KJCCC with an overall record of 21-33 and a conference mark of 11-21. Kristen coached multiple postseason award recipients with both outfielder Ashanti Thompson and pitcher/utility player Aaliyah Gutierrez earning All-Conference selections.
Silva spent the past seven seasons with Lamar Community College and competed in Region IX from the 2016 to 2022 seasons. While at Lamar, Silva won 143 games in six seasons with the program with her best season being in 2018 when she led Lamar to a 35-18 overall record and a 24-6 conference record.
Before Silva's time at Lamar, she was the assistant coach at the University of Puget Sound (2012-15) and coached an 18U program in Tacoma, Washington. From 2010 to 2012, Silva worked as the assistant softball coach at 5A Fruita Monument High School in Fruita, Colorado, where their record was 59-11. The team qualified for the CHSAA State Tournament yearly, including appearances in the Elite Eight in 2012, Semi-Finals in 2011, and Quarter-Finals in 2010.
