Lana Pigeon signs to Southwestern College

LIBERAL, Kan. - Softball student-athlete Lana Pigeon is the latest four-year signee for the Saints Athletic Department this year. Pigeon has officially sogned on to continue her academic and athletic career at Southwestern College, an NAIA college located in Winfield, KS. 

Pigeon was a starting middle infielder for the Lady Saints while seeing most of her action come at second base. Pigeon played in 37 total games in her one year in Liberal while hitting .242 with and on-base-percentage sitting at .324. Lana drove in 10 runs for the Lady Saints while recording 22 total hits in 91 at-bats with 5 of those hits going for extra bases. In the field, Pigeon had 28 putouts with 14 assists and a fielding percentage of .808. Pigeon helped the Lady Saints under first year coach Kristen Silva and provided leadership to help Seward County win 21 games this season.
