Bio

Freshman (2012-2013): Purtue played in 32 games and started 6 as a freshman in 2012-2013 for Seward. He averaged 3.4 points and 2.4 rebounds per game, averaging 12.9 minutes per game.  He started his Saints career off with a bang, scoring in double figures in both of the Saints opening weekend games against Fort Carson and God's Academy.  Against Fort Carson he was 4 for 5 from the field and scored 11 points and against God's Academy he scored a career high 15 points on 6 of 11 shooting to lead the Saints to a win.  His season high in minutes came in the Saints second conference tilt of the year against Colby when he played 32 minutes and had 11 points and 7 rebounds, both conference highs for him.  

High School: Purtue joined the Saints from Wichita where he attended Wichita Southeast High School.  Purtue never played for the Buffaloes during his high school career and was found by Seward Head Coach Bryan Zollinger completely by chance at a local gym.  He has two sisters, Amber (23) and Brittney (20).  He also has a daughter, Eryn (3).
