Freshman (2014): Wood saw action in 41 of 42 Seward County matches in 2014 as a freshman, averaging 1.57 kills and 1.24 digs per set for the Lady Saints. Wood twice registered double digit kill efforts for the Lady Saints, wielding her first 11 kill performance into a double double against Dodge City and her second in a 3-1 win over Frank Phillips to clinch the Ozfest Invitational Tournament title. An all-around player for the Lady Saints, Wood had six double digit dig matches including a career high 14 against Richland as well as a seven block match in a win over Eastern Wyoming.
High School: Wood was one of three Kansans on the Lady Saints roster in 2014 after coming to Seward County from Junction City High School where she played for Coach Megan Parks for four seasons. Wood was an Honorable Mention All-Centennial League selection as a senior and helped Junction City to a substate championship during her junior season. Also a star on the softball diamond, Wood earned 3 letters in softball for Junction City. She has a brother, Killian (21) and two sisters, Krista (29), and Christina (30) who played basketball at Bethel College.
