Freshman Season (2023): Mestres was a human wall for the Saints at the Goalkeeper spot where he started all 14 games he appeared in for Seward County. Manning the goal for a total of 1203:48 minutes throughout the 2023 season, Mestres recorded 122 saves with a save percentage of .813 with 10+ saves in four games with a career high of 12 coming against #7 Barton and again in a big rivalry win over Dodge City 2-1. Racking up the awards and honors as a freshman, Mestres was the only goalkeeper named to the All-KJCCC First Team after earning KJCCC Goalkeeper of the Week twice on the year and NJCAA Goalkeeper of the Week once. Mestres ended his freshman campaign as the leader in saves in the KJCCC at the Division 1 level and ranked third in the country during his first year at the collegiate level.
High School: Mestres joins the Saints’ inaugural soccer team after prepping at Mackenzie Tambore.
