Redshirt (2015-2016): Sims redshirted during the 2015-2016 season.  

Freshman (2014-2015): Sims had a huge freshman season for the Saints in 2014-2015, playing in 29 games while averaging 16.5 points per game to lead the team.  For his efforts, Sims was named an Honorable Mention All-Jayhawk West selection during his rookie campaign.  Sims stepped things up a notch from there during Jayhawk West action, keeping the Saints a float by averaging 184 points per game while shooting 44% from the field.  Sims scored in double figures 24 times during his freshman season including eclipsing the 20 point mark eight times.  He was nearly unstoppable down the stretch for the Saints, scoring 17 or more points in Seward's final 10 games of the season, averaging nearly 23 points per game during the stretch.  In the Saints regular season home finale in late February, Sims lit up the Jayhawk West Champion Butler Grizzlies for a career high 33 points on 10 of 17 shooting and backed that up against the Region VI Champion Hutchinson Blue Dragons with 26 points on 9 of 16 from the floor in the Saints next contest.  

High School: Sims was one of the Saints first signees in the 2014 class after a big time senior season at Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  As a senior Sims averaged 21 points per game and was a 1st Team All-State selection.  He was the Elite 8 Player of the Year and was also the MVP of the Texas/Oklahoma All-Star Game.  He has two sisters, Carmesha (33) and Jayne (25).
