Bio

Freshman (2014): Bezio saw action in 16 games a season ago, drawing 2 starts and throwing out of the Saints bullpen on 14 occasions.  He was 0-4 on the year with a 8.42 ERA in 25 2/3 innings of work.   His longest outing of the year came against Dodge City in early March when he went 4 1/3 innings, striking out a career high 5 Conqs in the process. He was called upon often at the end of the season, pitching in 5 of the Saints final 8 games of the year, including 4 times in the 2014 Region VI Tournament.  

Medical Redshirt (2013): The Saints had big plans for Bezio in 2013 before a broken leg sustained on a line drive ended his first year in Liberal.  Bezio pitched in 4 games before the injury, tottaling 5 1/3 innings of work without a decision.  Most of his mound time came in a 4 1/3 inning appearance against Northeastern in which he allowed just 2 hits and 1 run while striking out 3.  

High School: The two time District 10 MVP, Bezio joined the Saints after a stellar four year career at Santo High School where he played for Coach Rodney Thornton.  A two way threat for Santo, Bezio was not only 8-1 on the mound with 3 saves, but also hit .587 with 41 RBI's in just 23 games played.  Bezio tossed in 17 of Santo's 23 games on the season, throwing 66 1/3 innings with a microscopic 0.42 ERA and 143 strikeouts.  He was even better in the postseason, where he was a perfect 3-0 and didn't allow an earned run in 21 innings pitched while fanning 36 opposing hitters.  He was a three time All-District selection and was a 2nd Team All-State pick during his senior season.
