Bio

Medical Redshirt (2014): Lewis will miss the 2014 season due to a season ending shoulder injury.

Freshman (2013): Lewis was a fixture in the Saints lineup as a freshman in 2013, playing in 50 games, starting 46 of them including drawing 34 starts at first base.  He hit .278 with 9 doubles, 5 triples, and a home run on the season.  He drove in 29 runs and had 15 hits with runners in scoring position as a freshman.  His Seward County career started off well as he recorded hits in each of the Saints first four games of the season including 3 hits and a pair of triples in their opening game of the 2013 campaign.  He finished the year with 11 multi-hit games including his second 3 hit game of the year in the Saints final contest of the season at the Region VI Tournament against Coffeyville.  He strung together a 9 game hit streak in late April, going 13 for 30 (.433) during the stretch.

High School: Lewis became another of a long line of players from Burkburnett to play for the Saints in 2013 after playing for four seasons under Coach Mike Leach at Burkburnett High School.  As a senior Lewis was named the District Utility Man of the Year and was twice named an All-District catcher.  His career average at Burkburnett was .390 and he rapped 7 home runs and 57 RBI's in his four seasons.  Lewis also starred on the gridiron where he was a 1st Team All-District selection as a senior as a quarterback and helped Burkburnett to the District Championship in 2011.  Lewis' baseball skills are in his genes as his grandfather played college baseball in the 50's and his father played at Northwestern Oklahoma State University in the late 80's.  He has one brother, Bryan (17).
