Freshman (2013): While he started the season slow, Guay became a key member of the Saints staff down the stretch in 2013, pitching in 18 games and posting a 4-1 record in 45 2/3 innings pitched.  Just two weeks before the end of the 2013 regular season, Guay found himself near the bottom of the Saints pitching depth chart with a 8.14 ERA, however it was what he would do at the end of his freshman campaign that would set his early career legacy.  With the conference championship on the line in the Saints final Jayhawk West Conference game of the season on the road at Cloud County, Guay was forced into action when Seward starter TJ Looney was able to face just one batter to start the game.  All Guay did was come in and blank the T-Birds for 8 innings, allowing just 2 hits while doubling his season strikeout total with 7 to earn the win and give the Saints the title.  His mastery out of the bullpen continued into the playoffs where he threw 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief against Independence in the first round of the Region VI Tournament to help the Saints advance on to the Region VI Championships.  From there on, Guay was the Saints workhorse.  He won back to back elimination games for the Saints out of the pen against Fort Scott and #2 Cowley and then gutted out a 3 inning appearance later in the same day where he allowed just 2 hits in an extra inning game the Saints eventually won to move on.  In his final 21 1/3 innings of the 2013 season, Guay allowed just 11 hits and 3 earned runs, posting a 3-0 record and a 1.27 ERA for Seward.

High School: Guay joined a pair of his high school teammates from Carrollton's Creekview High to play for the Saints in 2013.  While playing for Coach Stacy Largent and the Mustangs, Guay tossed 37 1/3 innings as a senior, posting a 3.19 ERA with 30 strikeouts before being named 2nd Team All-District.  It was the third time Guay was named All-District after earning 1st Team honors in 2010 and 2nd Team in 2011.  Also a star on the basketball court for Creekview, Guay was an Honorable Mention All-District pick as a senior on the hardwood and was a two time winner of the Mr. Hustle Award.  He has one sister, Alyssa (31).
