 Freshman (2012): Sanchez was a mainstay in the Lady Saints rotation as a freshman in 2012, playing in all 39 matches, one of just two Seward players to do so last season.  An Honorable Mention All-Region and All-Jayhawk West pick as a freshman, Sanchez finished in the top five on the team in kills, digs, blocks, and aces during her rookie season.  Her 296 total kills ranked 8th in the Jayhawk Conference and were 2nd best on the team.  Sanchez had 10 or more kills 12 different times in her first season in the green and white with five of those coming in Sewar's final seven matches of the season.  Sanchez had a pair of double-doubles in 2012 including October 10th when she willed the Lady Saints to a thrilling home victory over Hutchinson with a career high 17 kills and 4 blocks along with 12 digs.

High School: Sanchez joined two other Coloradans on the Lady Saints roster in 2012 after coming to play for Seward County from Brighton, Colorado.  She played two seasons for the Lady Bulldogs and was a 1st Team All-Conference selection as a senior.  During her senior campaign, Sanchez racked up 95 kills and 91 blocks and was twice named the Player of the Week.  She has one sister, Briana (22).
