Liberal, Kansas – Less than 24 hours prior, the Seward County Lady Saints Women's Soccer team earned their first win of the 2024 season and on Friday they earned another result as they shut out Western Wyoming in a 0-0 game that sends the Lady Saints home with a 1-0-1 record to begin the year.
Both sides held strong on the defensive side of the field with both goalkeepers making multiple saves in each half to protect their team from any kind of deficit. Miu Kamei made some athletic saves at the front of the goal to keep Seward County in contention, finishing the matchup with 4 total saves while Natoya Atkinson and Dayra Dinarte each launched a pair of shots to try and put the Lady Saints on the scoreboard but could not connect in the net.
The Lady Saints will now make the trip back home to Liberal and prepare for their Jayhawk Conference and home opener on Wednesday August 28th when they face Kansas City Kansas.
