The Saints fall 92-66 to the Cougars

LIBERAL, Kan. - Seward County Community College men's basketball team falls at Barton Community College 92-66 last Wednesday night. The Saints fall to 7-8 on the season and 4-5 in conference play. Seward County will be back in the Greenhouse on Saturday to take on Hutchinson Community College at 8 PM and for tickets go to Billy's Blue Duck BBQ.

In the first half, the Saints found themselves down 12-3 with 15:40 left in the first half. After Seward County got within eight points 18-10 but Barton went on a 16-2 run to take a 34-12 lead with 7:30 left in the half. The Saints went down 47-17 and closed out the half with an 8-1 run and trailed 48-25 to the Cougars.

After trailing by as much as 30 points in the first half the Saints had a long way to go to get back into the game. Halfway through the second half, the Saints trailed 62-38 to the Cougars and looked for ways to establish their offense. Barton outscored the Saints in the second half by just three points 44-41 but the damage was done in the first half as the Saints fall 92-66.
