Secean Johnson named Honorable Mention All-Region VI

One of the most complete players in the Jayhawk Conference this season, Seward County sophomore Secean Johnson was honored by the NJCAA on Thursday as he was named an Honorable Mention selection on the All-Region VI Team. 

Johnson was the only Seward player to start all 31 games in 2014-2015, averaging 15 points and a team best 4.5 rebounds per game.  Johnson averaged a team high 27.3 minutes per game and a year after being named the inaugural Jayhawk West Defensive Player of the Year, was often asked to defend the opponents top weapon, which still wasn't enough to slow him down on the offensive end.  Johnson  scored in double-figures 23 times on the season and topped the 20 point mark six different times.  He posted the best career game in late January when he went for a career high 33 points and also had a career high 11 rebounds in an 89-84 win over rival Garden City.
