Results from Tuesday 11-19-24

Fortnite:

The FN Silver team (Luis Ortiz, Juan Pablo Chacon) battled it out with Jacksonville College. Ortiz and Chacon are still on their hot streak and won the set 2 - 0. Their record is 7 - 0 heading into the playoff season.

The FN Black team (Henry Perez, Osiel Ventura) had their royale against Murray State College. Nothing stopped the Saints duo from owning the game from the start. They won 2 - 0. They head into the playoffs with a 7 - 1 record.

Fortnite Playoffs begin Tuesday, December 3rd for a single elimination tournament that ends Friday, December 13th.

Super Smash Bros.

Angel Roberts had trouble with his opponent from Jefferson College, falling 0 - 4. His record is 1 - 6.

Priscilla Davis didn't fare much better against another opponent from Jefferson College. She lost on the night 0 - 4. Her record is 2 - 5.

Marcos Montoya made quick work of Catawba Valley Community College in his set, winning 4 - 0. His record is 3 - 4 to end the regular season.

Alexis Saustegui benefitted from a forfeit against Jacksonville College as his opponent failed to show. Alexis will take his record of 5 - 2 into the playoffs.

Edward Rios went down early against Monroe Community College, dropping his set 0 - 4. His record is 2 - 5.

Playoffs for Smash Bros will being Sunday, December 8th and go through Wednesday, December 10th.

 

Results from Wednesday 11-20-24

Overwatch 2:

The Saints OW team (Julienne Salazar, Christina Nguyen, Ernest Paloma, Scarlett Phan and Jackson Dodge) squared up against Dutchess Community College last night in a tight set that came down to the wire. The Saints lost the first two rounds, but stayed strong and finished out the night with three consecutive sets. They won 3 - 2. Their record is 3 - 5 to end the regular season.

 

Madden NFL:

Jarrett Hogg took on Pensacola State College in a tough tussle. The PSC player won the first, Hogg came back in the second but couldn't put his opponent down. He lost 1 - 2. His record is 2 - 6 for the Fall semester.

Dwayne Moran had a hard time with Southern State Community College, falling in both games 0 - 2. His record is 5 - 3 heading into the playoffs.

Akele Powdrill played against Western Technical College. The first round, Powdrill had some trouble and dropped the set. However, he bounced back over the next two games to secure the W. He won 2 - 1. His record is 7 - 2 to start the playoffs.

Landon Davis fought off Southeast Community College in another game that went all three matches. Davis lost the first but came back for the next two, winning 2 - 1 on the night. His record improves to 4 - 2 for playoff competition.

Ricky Olguin caught a bye week this week due to an odd number of competitors. He'll finish the regular season with a record of 3 - 5.

Madden playoffs will start December 3rd, in a single elimination tournament that ends Wednesday Dec 1tth.

 

Results from Thursday 11-21-24

Mario Kart:

Priscilla Davis was handed her first loss against Danville Area Community College, 1 - 4. Her record is 7 - 1 heading into playoffs

Landon Davis lost against another player from DACC. His record drops to 4 - 3 as he readies for playoffs.

Edward Rios pulled off a win against Lake Region State College last night 4 - 0. His record is 6 - 2 as he begins post-season play.

Bret Lyon found the win against SUNY Jamestown, sweeping the set 4 - 0. Her record improves to 1 - 6.

Alexis Saustegui dominated Danville Area Community College 4 - 1. He takes his unbeaten record of 8 - 0 into the post season.

Mario Kart Playoffs begin Thursday, December 5th and run through Thursday, December 12th.

 Valorant:

The Saints Valorant team was unable to play last night. They opted for a floating bye week. They will compete in the playoffs after Thanksgiving.

Valorant playoffs begin Thursday, December 5th and will end Friday, December 13th

 

Friday Night 11-22-24

Rocket League:

The Saints Rocket League team (Fabian Tarango, Brian Amador, and Asher Waite) were up against Western Technical College Friday night.  The Saints struggled early on offense and were held to less than 4 total points on 3 matches. They fell in their sets 0 – 3.  Their record is 1 – 6 to end the regular season.

Rainbow 6:

The Saints R6 Green team (Christian Abel, Dwayne Moran, Nicolas Benson, Landon Davis and Marcos Montoya) had another rematch against their frenemies from Hocking College. The Saints team got started early, but the Hawks swooped back in and took the games 0 – 2. The Saints will end the Fall season with a record of 2 – 6.
