Saints Baseball stays hot at the plate as win streak extends to 8 games

LIBERAL, Kan. – Continuing their momentum into Saturday, the Saints Baseball team scored 47 more runs on Saturday to complete the season sweep over Garden City Community College.  Over the 4-game series, the Saints scored 103 total runs, with 15 home runs. With the wins, the Saints have extended their winning streak to 8 games, the longest in the KJCCC.

 The series propelled the Saints into a tie for 2nd place in the West Standings, one game behind Barton Community College.  Barton CC and Seward face-off this week for 4 games for the battle of 1st in the West. Overall the Saints are led by strong hitting, being the top scoring team in the Jayhawk. They lead the league in hits, doubles, and 2nd in home runs. In addition to the bats, the Saints are led on the mound by Brian Luna, who is 5-2 as a starter with 11 strikeouts per nine innings pitches.

 Game Change: Games against Lamar CC on Tuesday April 4th have been postponed due to weather.  The teams will play at Brent Gould Field on April 25th, a single 9-innin game starting at 1pm.
