Seward's Coyos Picks Up NJCAA All-American Honors

A spectacular sophomore season which included a pair of appearances in National Championship matches has earned Lady Saints star Paula Coyos NJCAA All-American honors for the 2015 season.

The ITA National Player to Watch in 2014, Coyos proved voters right during a phenomenal 2015 campaign.  Overall this season she was 54-6 including a 33-2 record during the 2015 spring season.  Even more impressive than her 33-2 mark this spring is the fact that Coyos' only two losses of the year came in the NJCAA National Championship match in doubles and the National Tournament semifinal in singles.  Along with doubles partner and fellow All-American Paula Lopez, Coyos also reached the National Championship last fall at the ITA National Tournament.  Coyos wraps up her historic Seward County career with an eye-popping 113-20 record, marking the second most wins by any player in school history.

Next fall Coyos will be on her way to Fort Myers, Florida and the University of West Florida where she will team up with Lopez once again, this time for the Argonauts.
