Freshman (2013-2014): Lopez had an unbelievable rookie year for the Lady Saints in 2013-2014 and was named the ITA National Rookie of the Year for her work on the court.  She went 31-6 in #1 singles action as a freshman and was 32-7 in #1 doubles, earning her ITA All-American honors in both singles and doubles.  She finished the year ranked #6 nationally in singles and #4 in doubles play with partner Paula Coyos.  She started the year with a bang, becoming the first junior college player in history to win the Bethany Tournament in the fall and followed that up two weeks later with singles and doubles championships at the Metro State Invitational.  After just missing an ITA region title in doubles, she and Coyos were the ITA's Wild Card pick into the Small College Nationals where they finished just one win short of the title match, settling for 3rd place.  She was electric all spring for Seward as well, going 31-7 combined in singles and doubles, winning the Region VI title in doubles play and ending as runner-up in #1 singles.  She battled hard at the NJCAA National Tournament, finishing in the top 5 in both singles and doubles.  Also a star in the classroom, Lopez was on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll in both semesters last season.
