Freshman (2013-2014): Coyos starred in her first year in green and white, winning 58 matches last season, going 26-7 in singles and 32-7 in doubles en route to ITA National Player to Watch and ITA All-American honors.  She won a pair of tournament titles at the Metro State Invitational in the fall and finished 12-3 in singles and 15-4 in doubles.  She and partner Paula Lopez were the Wild Card entrant into the ITA Small College National Tournament in Ft. Myers, Florida where they finished 3rd in the big dance.  Coyos was even better in the spring, going 15-4 at #2 singles and 17-3 in #1 doubles with Lopez.  She picked up momentum as the season went along, winning the Region VI Championship in singles and doubles at years end.  At the NJCAA National Tournament she fared quite well also, finishing 3rd in both singles and doubles to finish the 2014 year ranked 15th overall in singles and #4 in doubles with Lopez.  Coyos also shined in the classroom where she was a member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll during both semesters last year.
