Kuntze named to NMMI All-Tournament Team

ROSWELL, N.M. - After going undefeated at the NMMI Kick-Off Classic last weekend, Seward County volleyball received notification that sophomore setter Giovanna Kuntze has been named to the All-Tournament Team. Voted on by the coaches, each team received one player for the team.

Kuntze had a monster weekend in Roswell racking up 133 assists in four games, for a 9.5 assist per set average. She opened up the weekend with a 52 assist performance in the win against Odessa. The 52 assists were the most by a Lady Saint since 2013. She also had a 39 assist performance against South Mountain and 27 assists against Eastern Arizona. Along with her assists, Kuntze scored 27 points over the weekend, including 11 in the match against Odessa.

The Lady Saints will be back in action September 6 at 6:30 p.m. against Garden City in the Greenhouse.
