Lady Saints Recognized with AVCA Team Academic Award

The Seward County Athletic Department continues to display the importance of academics as the Lady Saints volleyball team has earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award. The Lady Saints were one of only 26 two-year colleges to earn this award. It marks the 11th time in the past 12 seasons that Seward County has earned the award.
Applegate Wins Grant Burger Media Award

For the second straight year, a Seward County Sports Information Director has captured the AVCA’s Grant Burger Media Award. Ian Applegate takes home this year’s honors announced on Wednesday by the AVCA as the recipient of the award that celebrates outstanding coverage of two-year college volleyball.
34 Student-Athletes Receive NJCAA Academic Student Athlete Awards

For the sixth consecutive year, the Seward County athletic department has seen an increase in the number of student-athletes receiving the NJCAA Academic Student-Athlete Award, as 34 Saints and Lady Saints qualified for the 2017-18 school year, topping last years record of 28.
Spring Semester Ends with Academic Awards

For a second straight semester, the Seward County student-athletes achieved a cumulative GPA of over 3.20 as 78 Saints and Lady Saints were named to the Spring Athletic Director Honor Roll.

Kuntze Signs With Youngstown State

After two of the best seasons in Seward County volleyball history, every Lady Saint from the 2018 sophomore class has been signed after All-American setter Giovanna Kuntze signed with Division I Youngstown State on Monday afternoon in the All-American Room.
Lady Saint Duo Signs with Central Methodist

Two Seward County volleyball players signed their Letters of Intent to play for the Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri. All-Jayhawk selections Mariana Nascimento and Viviane Viana will be following former Lady Saints Assistant Coach Garrett Case to play for the Eagles.

The Seward County athletic department released it's semiannual Athletic Director Honor on Friday (Feb. 9), naming 86 athletes to the 2017 fall list.
Seward County Adds Three Coaches to Staff

The Seward County Athletic Department has announced the hiring of three coaches to the coaching staff. Lachmond Bratton will be joining the tennis program as Assistant Coach, Chad Butler will be leading the SCCC Spirit Squad as Head Coach, and Parker Thompson will become the new assistant coach for volleyball.

Giovanna Kuntze Named NJCAA First Team All-American

For the second straight year, the Seward County volleyball team has produced an NJCAA All-American. This year, Giovanna Kuntze took home the honors as a 1st Team selection on the All-American team.
Ferreira Signs with UMary

Erica Ferreira will go from Thais Baziquetto-Allen to Thais Franca as her head coach. Ferreira signed with Division-II, University of Mary on Wednesday in the All-American room to continue her volleyball career.
Six Lady Saints Named All-Conference, Kuntze awarded MVP

After going undefeated in the Jayhawk West and leading virtually every statistical category, the Seward County volleyball team ran away with the 2017 KJCCC Conference Awards. Six Lady Saints were named All-Conference, while Head Coach Thais Baziquetto-Allen was named Coach of the Year for the second consecutive year.
No. 3 Seward County reaches third straight Region VI Final Four

For the third time in as many seasons, the No. 3 Seward County volleyball team will be heading to the semi-finals of the Region VI Tournament. It has become a normality under Head Coach Thais Baziquetto-Allen, who is also looking to lead her team to their third straight appearance in the Region VI Championship, splitting the previous two matches.
No. 3 Seward County Completes Undefeated Season in Conference Play on Sophomore Night

The No. 3 Seward County volleyball team finished their quest for an undefeated Jayhawk West season Wednesday night, defeating Hutchinson 3-1 (25-23, 27-25, 20-25, 25-22). It marks the first time since 2000 that the Lady Saints have gone undefeated in conference play, when the finished 8-0. At 16-0, it is the most conference wins for the Lady Saints in program history.
Seward County Volleyball Repeats As Jayhawk West Champions

The No. 3 Seward County volleyball team defended their Jayhawk West title Wednesday night, defeating Colby 3-1 (25-23, 25-10, 20-25, 25-16) to win back-to-back Jayhawk West championships. This marks the first time since 1999-2000 that the Lady Saints have repeated as conference champions.
