Above the Net With... Taryn Bedore

Our second Above the Net of the 2014 season is from Taryn Bedore.  Bedore is a 5'11 freshman setter from Goodland, Kansas and has entitled her entry "Hashtag". 

Hey Y'all Lady Saint fans out there! It is a privilege to be able to call myself a part of the Seward County Volleyball Team! We are finishing up our preseason work this week and had our first scrimmages of the year last weekend.  The team played well and we came away with not losing a set! We plan on taking the intensity that we had in the scrimmages right on into the season! Lady Saint Nation is just going to be a power house this season and we play 51 matches in just 90 days!!

Arriving at Seward I did not know what to expect. I was the little freshman arriving with the big sophomores that have had a year under their belts. I was scared! Then came the first day of preseason and after getting to know everyone we finally just meshed together like a team is supposed to! We are going to be a team that most people would not want to mess with! We have some amazing sophomore leadership and that is making the freshman so pumped to get out on the court with them!

I come to Liberal from the small town Goodland, Kansas where I watched my older brother and sister grow up playing sports and always attended their college sporting events.  What is funny is, I actually wanted to be a cheerleader when I was younger. I would cheer with the cheerleaders at wrestling matches and football games and get to see everyone laugh.

I am so excited to see what the future has in store for the Lady Saints throughout the rest of the season! We love all the support we have received from people just in the very short time that we have been here. We hope that will continue throughout the rest of the season. It would be amazing to see the crowd completely packed this year!
