New Combos Leads to Same Success For Lady Saints

New Combos Leads to Same Success For Lady Saints

Seward County Head Coach Greg Owen mixed things around Sunday afternoon as his 5th ranked Lady Saints took on 24th ranked Harford, but the results were more of the same as Seward dominated, losing just 6 out of the 102 games played in the match for a 9-0 win to finish up their trip to the Sunshine State.

Thalita Rodrigues and Sarah Manseri teamed for the first time this season for Seward at #1 doubles, rolling to an 8-2 win to give the Lady Saints their first point of the match. Tadi Mrewa and Madison Hoelting cruised to an 8-0 win at #2 for Seward while Martina Borges and Fernanda Santana won 8-2 at #3 to complete the doubles sweep for the Lady Saints.

Seward turned singles play into a laugher.  Lisa Suzuki, Mrewa, Borges, and Santana did not lose a single game in their matches from #2 to #5 while Rodrigues and Hoelting lost just one each at #1 and #6 to polish off a 9-0 win for the Lady Saints.

Seward improves to 9-4 on the year with the victory and is now set for a Saturday showdown in Arkansas City where they will take on Jayhawk Conference rival Cowley in the league's premier match of the year.
