Lady Saints Hold Highest Ranking in School History in Latest ITA Poll

The Seward County Lady Saints have jumped six spots to #4 in the latest ITA National Tennis Poll released on Friday, marking the programs highest ranking in school history.

The Lady Saints jump into the top five with stalwarts ASA Miami, Tyler, and Seminole State who hold down the top three spots once again, as well as St. Petersburg who checks in at #5.

Seward had already shattered the school record for wins in a season with their 14-0 start, including wins over four teams ranked in the top 25.

The Lady Saints are 115-11 in individual matches played on the year with all but one of their wins (#5 St. Petersburg) coming in blowout fashion.

Thalita Rodrigues leads the Lady Saints in wins this season, going 12-1 to start her Seward County career.  Rodrigues has also combined with Nthabi Mogopodi to go 14-0 in doubles play while Madison Hoelting and Tadi Mrewa are also unbeaten at 13-0 together.

Seward will continue a busy week on Friday when they take on Kansas Wesleyan at Blue Bonnet Park in Liberal before hosting #9 Cowley on Saturday at 10:00 AM.
