Lady Saints 9-0 After Victories Over Texarkana & NCTC

The Seward County Lady Saints are on fire.  Seward upped their 2016 record to 9-0 Saturday, blanking Texas A&M Texarkana by a score of 9-0 before beating #13 North Central Texas 7-2 for the second time this season.

In their first match of the day Saturday, the Lady Saints took on yet another four year foe, going up against the Texas A&M Texarkana Eagles.  Seward's Rakotondrazafy sisters earned the Lady Saints first point of the day with an 8-3 win at #1 doubles while Thalita Rodrigues and Nthabi Mogopodi cruised to a 8-1 win at #2 and Tadi Mrewa and Madison Hoelting pulled out an 8-4 victory at #3 to sweep doubles action 3-0.  Singles play was dominated by the Lady Saints at all six spots as Texarkana's closest set with Seward was just 6-3 at #1 as the Lady Saints stormed to a 9-0 win over the Eagles.

#10 SEWARD COUNTY/TEXAS A&M TEXARKANA MATCH RESULTS

In their final match of a busy weekend, the Lady Saints took on #13 North Central Texas in a rematch of their first date of the season. The results ended up being almost exactly the same for the Lady Saints, and that was a good thing. To get things going, Seward earned 8-3 wins at all three doubles spots, jumping ahead in the match right away 3-0.  North Central Texas picked up points at the bottom two singles spots, but that was all that the Lady Saints would allow the Lady Lions to get on this day.  Seward dominated at the top of the lineup, earning four 6-0 set wins to rack up four more points and clinch the match 7-2.
