The Saints sweep the Cougars 9-0

LIBERAL, Kan. - Seward County Community College hosted Barton Community College and swept the Cougars 9-0 on Saturday, April 17th. At the time of the match, the Saints were No. 3 in the nation, and showed their dominance over the No. 7 Cougars. 

To start the match the Saints were able to get three victories in the doubles matches. At number one doubles Luciano Fisicaro and Raul Centeno took care of business with an 8-5 match score, Kyllian Savary and Enzo Frequelin won at second doubles with an 8-4 set score. In the third doubles match, Paulo Castillo-Martinez and Juan Gonzales won handily with an 8-2 set score. 

In singles, the Saints were able to win in straight sets at one single with Fisicaro winning 6-4, and 6-2, at second singles Savary won 6-3, and 6-2. At three singles Centeno went down after the first set with a 6-7 (4) loss. He bounced back and won the next two sets with a 6-4, and 6-2 final. Seward County closed out the match with three straight sweeps with Juan Gonzales won 6-4, 6-2, Martins Abamu won at fifth singles slot 6-4, 6-2, and Enzo Frequelin took care of the six singles spot with a 7-5, 6-0 match victory. 

The Saints win their final game of the season and will now get prepared for the 2021 National Tournament on May 17th in Plano, Texas.
