Saints Tennis on a Winning Streak

SHAWNEE, Okla. – The Saints are now on a four match winning streak after defeating Oklahoma Baptist University 8-1.

The Saints got their first win with a default in No.3 doubles. No.1 Nicolas Rousset and Hugo Lobo defeated Galdi and LeFort 8-6 whileNo.2 Tim Lamare and Duro Opacic were defeated by Andrusch and Aguilera 8-3.

Singles play started with a default as well at No.6 giving the Lady Saints a 3-1 lead. Opacic finished first defeating Andrusch 6-0, 7-5 at No.2  and Lobo defeating Aguilera 6-4, 7-5 clenching the match for Seward at No.3. Rousset at No.1 won against Galdi 6-2, 7-5. Lamare and Carlo Izurieta finished next at No.4 and No.5 both defeating their opponents. Lamare won 6-1, 6-4 against LeFort and Izurieta won 6-3, 6-4 against Atturu.

The Saints are now 17-2 overall and will be playing their next match in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to play against New Mexico Military Institute and Seminole State College on Friday and Saturday, April 6th and 7th.
