Three Seward Teams Earn Top KJCCC GPA

The academic recognition continues for Seward County athletic teams, as the 2016-17 KJCCC academic report was released Monday (Aug. 7) with three SCCC teams earning the top cumulative GPA in their respective sports. Men and women’s tennis, along with women’s basketball, all earned the highest GPA in their sports.
28 Saints Receive NJCAA Academic Student-Athlete Awards

LIBERAL, Kan. (June 12, 2017) – Seward County student-athletes continue to excel both on the field and in the classroom, as 28 Saints qualified for national academic honors for the 2016-17 school year. This was the fifth straight year that Seward saw an increase in NJCAA All-Academic winners.

There is a new boss on the block in Region VI Tennis and that is the Seward County Saints. Seward dominated the field Sunday in Great Bend at the Region VI Championships, collecting 17 of the possible 18 points across nine lines to win their third straight Region VI Title and qualify for the NJCAA National Tournament in Plano in three weeks.

Saints Smash Cowley For Third Place Finish in OKC

It was just a third place match at the Seminole State Dual Match Classic in Oklahoma City, but it was more than that to the 4th ranked Seward County Saints as they took on the rival Cowley Tigers. After splitting their matches on Friday against #12 Jacksonville and #3 Seminole State, the Saints crushed the Tigers on Saturday for 3rd place, blanking Cowley 9-0 in a statement win as the two teams prepare for the upcoming Region VI Tournament later this month.
