Freshman (2013-2014): Saurombe couldn't have had much better of a freshman season for the Saints, winning an ITA National Championship in doubles during the fall before being named the ITA Rookie of the Year in the spring.  He finished the year 25-5 in singles action and 24-9 in doubles play, playing almost exclusively as the Saints #1 man in singles and doubles.  He won both the singles and doubles tournament titles at the Bethany Invitational as well as the Metro State Invitational to go along with the ITA National title.  He finished runner-up in a number of other events including the Wichita Intercollegiate, ITA Regional, and Region VI tournaments.  He finished the year ranked #28 in the ITA singles rankings and #12 in doubles after reaching #1 in doubles and #10 in singles midseason.  Also a star in the classroom, Saurombe was a member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll during both the fall and spring semesters last year.  

High School: Saurombe made the long trip to Liberal from Mutare, Zimbabwe where he played for Hilcrest High School as a prep.  Saurombe was the top ranked player in Zimbabwe and won a number of tournaments there as a junior.  He was ranked 555th in the ITF world rankings before coming to Seward.  Saurombe also starred on the soccer field for Hilcrest.
