Lady Saints Stay Put in 6th Place

Tyler, Texas – After only qualifying for one main draw semifinal match your Lady Saints were not able to make any movement towards the top 5 in the team rankings of the 2024 NJCAA D1 Women's Tennis National Championships. Ana Serrano the only Lady Saints student-athlete in the main draw faced tough competition. Ultimately, Rocio Martinez was able to capitalize and Serrano dropped the match 4-6, 3-6.

Lara Torres was the only other Lady Saint left standing following Day Four as she was able to reach the consolation finals of the #6 Singles flight. Torres defeated Raney Peacock of Northwest Mississippi College in go away fashion, winning 8-0.

Torres will face off against Abigail Carlson of Coastal Alabama Community College tomorrow, May 8th at 8:00 AM CT. If Torres is able to capitalize and get the Lady Saints another ½ point they will match their total from the 2023 NJCAA D1 Women's Tennis National Championships.
