Liberal, Kansas – It's been a rough week for Seward County softball with the struggles continuing Sunday afternoon as the Lady Saints continued their road stint with a trip to Allen where they faced the Red Devils in a doubleheader that saw SCCC fall short in both games as they fell 12-9 in game one and 6-2 in game two.
Both games saw the Lady Saints able to score throughout thanks to some big hits from their heavy hitting squad, but it was the struggles on defense that kept them from taking the wins as they gave up a few to many runs to Allen who grabbed both wins and caused Seward County to fall to a 3-7 overall record to start the 2024 season.
The Lady Saints will continue their road stint on Wednesday when they head back on the road out west towards Colorado when they face the Rattlers of Otero in a doubleheader with game one beginning at 2:00 PM and game two beginning at 4:00 PM.
