Da Silva Earns All-Conference Honors for Second Straight Year

Liberal, KAN – For the second straight season, Rafaela Da Silva will represent the Seward County Lady Saints as an All-Conference selection after being named to the All-Conference Second Team by the KJCCC on November 9th.

During the 2023 season for Seward County, Da Silva appeared in 109 sets through 30 matches where she dished out 954 total assists which was good for an average of 8.75 assists per set. She also showed her ability to score herself with 48 kills and dropped in 21 service aces while also showing constant effort on the defensive side of the ball with 320 digs to go along with 58 blocks on her sophomore campaign.

Da Silva ends her Seward County career with a total of 2,236 assists over two seasons which puts her fourth all time in the record books for assists. Her career totals also include 150 kills, 54 service aces, 644 digs, and 103 blocks. She ends her two-year stint with the Lady Saints with multiple accomplishments such as a Region VI tournament championship (2022), an NJCAA tournament appearance (2022), a first team all-conference selection (2022), and now a second team all-conference selection (2023).

"Rafa ran a great offense for us and was someone we strongly depended on. She has grown so much as a player, but also became a leader for us this season" says Head Coach Aubrey Wilson. "I can't wait to watch her continue to grow and see what she accomplishes next. We are so proud of her, and she will be missed."
