Lady Saints Fall In Opening Round of ITA Cup

Lady Saints Fall In Opening Round of ITA Cup

ROME, Georgia - A disappointing ending capped off what was an other fabulous fall season for the Lady Saints tennis program as both singles and the doubles team lost in the opening round of the ITA Cup.  The loss nixed any chance of competing for the ITA National Championship in those brackets.

Patricia Panta was the first to fall, as the No. 4 seeded Lady Saint was upset by ASA Miami's Tatiana Simove 6-4, 6-4.  Maria Aveiga followed suit, losing to No. 3 seeded Anna Brogan out of Tyler Junior College 6-0, 6-0.  Simova knocked Panta out again in the doubles bracket, this time defeating Panta and Aveiga 6-2, 7-5.

The losses end the fall season for the Lady Saints as they will now prepare for the spring season, which begins in February 4th, 2019 when they travel to the Air Force Academy.
