Myers and Carter Represent Lady Saints on All-Conference Teams

After his first year at the helm for the Lady Saints basketball program, Head Coach Will Marchino saw his team’s success get recognized as freshman forward Allie Myers and sophomore guard Jamia Carter were both named to the KJCCC All-Conference teams after leading Seward County to a winning record and a quarterfinals appearance in the playoffs.
Lady Saints Fall to Butler in Region VI Quarterfinals

Seward County Lady Saints basketball saw their 2023-24 season come to an end on Tuesday afternoon as they took on the Butler Grizzlies in the Quarterfinals of the Region VI Tournament where SCCCs bench scoring kept it to a one-point game entering halftime but could not stop the four seeded Butler from grabbing the win 75-58 to finish the Lady Saints’ season.
Lady Saints Advance with Win Over Pratt

Saturday afternoon saw the Region VI Tournament kick off with Seward County taking on the Pratt Beavers where a historic night for Allie Myers helped lead the way for the Lady Saints to grab a first-round victory 56-50 over Pratt to advance to round two next week to keep their dreams of a National Tournament appearance alive.
Seward County Heads into Playoffs with Win Over Pratt

The Lady Saints ended their 2023-24 regular season on Wednesday night as they honored their seven sophomores with a big win over the Pratt Beavers where despite falling behind by double figures entering the halftime break, superb defense and elite scoring in the fourth quarter propelled Seward County to a 67-62 win to wrap up the regular season.
Lady Saints Force Pirates to Walk the Plank

Illness and injuries put the Lady Saints a few players short on their road trip to Independence, but they had more than enough to punish the Pirates as Seward County moved in front in the opening minutes and never took their foot off the gas, knocking off Independence 65-53 on the road to complete the season sweep and move back in front in the KJCCC standings.
Short Handed Lady Saints Fall in Overtime to Trojans

Seward County Lady Saints basketball hit the road on Wednesday towards Colby to take on the Trojans for the second time this season where despite being shorthanded due to illness, injury, and foul trouble, SCCC was able to force overtime with the Trojans but could not capitalize as they fell on the road 73-67 to Colby.
Lady Saints Upended at Home to No.1 Blue Dragons

Two of the top teams in the Jayhawk conference over the past decade faced off inside of the Green House between the Seward County Lady Saints and the #1 Ranked team in the NJCAA in the Hutchinson Blue Dragons where despite holding a small lead after the first quarter, it was all Hutchinson the rest of the game as Seward County fell 78-54 to the highest ranked team in the country.
Carter and Myers Not Enough to Stop #15 Dodge City

Seward County vs. Dodge City has always been one of the top rivalries for the Lady Saints in the Jayhawk and it once again proved to be a great game as SCCC took on the #15 Conqs an hour and a half down the road at DC3 where a back-and-forth battle through most of the afternoon resulted in the Conqs taking a 74-63 win over Seward County.
Late Run Not Enough to Push Saints Past Broncbusters

Seward County Lady Saints basketball was back in the Green House on Saturday to take on their biggest rival of the year in the Garden City Bronbusters where a rough scoring first half did SCCC in and they couldn’t recover despite a late push in the fourth as they fell to their Jayhawk rival 57-48 at home.
High Scoring Fourth Quarter Not Enough to Topple Barton

Seward County hit the road on Wednesday afternoon for a three-hour trip out east to Great Bend for a matchup with the Barton Cougars where it was a back-and-forth battle through the first twenty minutes and despite scoring 31 in the fourth quarter, the Lady Saints were unable to topple the Cougars as they fell 70-62.
Seward County Clips Red Ravens’ Wings in Big Conference Win

After taking a week off since their last game, the Seward County Lady Saints basketball team took to the court inside of the Green House where it was a battle between the fifth and sixth seeds in the KJCCC standings as SCCC clipped the wings of the Coffeyville Red Ravens in a 62-44 win for the Lady Saints.

Saturday afternoon the Seward County Lady Saints women’s basketball team made a trip to Goodland, Kansas to take on the NW Kansas Tech Mavericks where career highs from Allie Myers and Naomi Aragonez led to an emphatic win to grab their second win of the season over NWKT and complete the season sweep.

After dominating their competition over the past few weeks, the Seward County Lady Saints win streak was laid to rest inside of the Green House as SCCC fell on their home court 73-60 to the nationally ranked #18 Butler Lady Grizzlies where despite keeping it close, late turnovers proved to be the downfall for Seward County.
Myers’ Career High Results in Road Win Over Cowley

After recording her first twenty-point scoring game of the season with a career high of 22 in her last outing, Allie Myers topped that with a monster double-double of 25 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Seward County Lady Saints to their fifth straight win as SCCC knocked off the Cowley Tigers for the second time to complete the season sweep.

Seward County entered tonight’s game on a three-game win streak and all the momentum on their side to begin the second half of Jayhawk Conference action with revenge in mind against Cloud County where the Lady Saints took firm control from the tip-off and never let the T-Birds get back in reach as SCCC grabbed their fourth straight win 70-57.

Coming off back-to-back wins over the last week the Seward County Lady Saints women’s basketball team hit the road to take on the Pratt Beavers where the sophomore duo of Naomi Aragonez and Alianna Colon combined for 30 points in a 66-61-point win that gave SCCC their third straight win to end the first half of Jayhawk conference action.
