3 Softball Sophomores on the Move

LIBERAL, Kan. - The Softball program will see three individuals move on to their four-year universities to continue their academic and athletic careers.

Ashley Low will be attending Northwestern Oklahoma State University this fall to continue her academic and softball careers. Low spent two seasons with the Saints with a career .333 batting average, 20 doubles, and 70 RBIs. Low will join former Saints Softball Head Coach Ryan Wondrasek and Assistant Coach K.C. Beardsley next year in Alva, Oklahoma.

Beth Denney will move on to continue her softball and academic career at the 2022 NCAA D2 National Champion Rogers State College in Claremore, Oklahoma. Denney spent one year with the Saints after transferring from Seminole State and had a .352 BA, 45 RBIs, and a .896 fielding percentage last season. Denney was named an All-Conference honorable mention for her performance in the shortstop position.

Ireland Caro will be attending Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas to continue her academic and softball career. Caro was the starting pitcher for the Saints the last two seasons with a career of 3.83 ERA, and 110 strikeouts. Last season she was named to the KJCCC All-Conference and started every game in the Saints Region VI tournament run last season.

Seward County finished as the Region VI runner-up last season as they finished with a 26-27 overall record and a 14-18 conference record.

We congratulate Low Denney, and Caro on their accomplishments, and we are excited to see them at the four-year level.
