Bio

Sam Waniewski is in his first season as an assistant with the Seward Saints. Prior to coming to Liberal, he spent one year at the University of Louisiana Monroe, two seasons at Tallahassee CC, and a season at Midland. He came to Midland after assisting Vincennes University to a 30-0 regular-season record and 33-2 overall record. 

A native of Woodland, CA., Waniewski spent one season as the Director of Operations at Furman University after gaining experience at Colorado State University as the Video Coordinator. During his time in Fort Collins, Colo., the Rams earned an NCAA Tournament berth and advanced past Missouri before falling to eventual National Champion Louisville. Waniewski joined the Rams staff after working as a graduate assistant under first year Colorado State coach Larry Eustachy at Southern Miss during the 2011-12 season, helping the team to a 27-9 record and their first NCAA tournament appearance in over 20 years.
