Freshman (2014): Rix was a mainstay in the Saints lineup last season, seeing time in 56 of Seward's 61 games on the year.  He hit .266 with 8 doubles and a pair of home runs while driving in 26 runs on the campaign.  After a slow start to the season, Rix got heated up in crunch time, hitting in 20 of his final 25 starts of the season.  He put together a 10 game hit streak in late March including a 9 for 15 (.600) series against Pratt in which he drove home 8 runs.  He had hits in 5 of the Saints 6 postseason games last season and drove in a run in 4 of the 6.  Rix had 12 multi-hit games on the season including a season best 3 hit effort against Pratt where he hit his first career home run.  Also an excellent student, Rix was a member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll during both semesters last year.  

Medical Redshirt (2013): Rix was penciled in as a starting corner infielder for the Saints in 2013 before he ruptured his bicep on a play at first base early in the season.  Rix played in just 8 games before the injury, posting a .150 batting average and an RBI in 20 trips to the plate. 

High School: Rix came to Seward County after an outstanding senior season at Canon City High School where he played for Coach Tim Ritter and the Tigers.  Rix hit an even .500 during his senior season, helping Canon City to the Final Four at the State Tournament.  He was one of the top 40 seniors in the state chosen for the Colorado Rockies Futures Game at Coors Field and was named the SCL MVP.  Also a very good student in the classroom, Rix was named Academic All-State in 2011 and 2012 in both baseball and football.  He has one brother, Jordan (16).
