De Pra and Feliz receives First Team All-American honors

LIBERAL Kan.- NJCAA honors the Seward County Community College student-athletes Laura De Pra and Yanlis Feliz with Division 1 Volleyball First Team All-American honors. This is the first time since 2001 that two Lady Saints were honored with All-American awards.

Laura De Pra had one of the best seasons as a setter in the national and Seward County history. De Pra finished 2nd in the nation in assists per set with 12.53, also finished 5th in total assists this season with 1403. She ranks second in career assists with 2,778 in her two-year career here in Liberal and ranks 8th in school history in total assists in a single season. Led the Lady Saints to back to back final four appearances, which included an appearance in the National Championship match for the first time in program history.

De Pra also was recognized throughout the season being named KJCCC Setter of the week 6 times, First Team All-Conference, and NJCAA All-Tournament team honors.

Yanlis Feliz had one of the best seasons in school history as a freshman and led the Lady Saints volleyball program their first-ever National Runner-Up title. Feliz ranked second in the nation and school history in kills per set with 4.73, also ranked seventh in hitting percentage with .409, and eighth in total kills with 530. Feliz was also honored with KJCCC player of the week 7x, KJCCC player of the year, first-team all-conference, and NJCAA all-tournament team.

De Pra will be moving on from Seward County after playing her final season but will leave the program as one of the best setters in school history and apart of the program's best team. Feliz will be turning the page to her sophomore year here at Seward County after being recognized as one of the best Freshman in the Nation.
