Lady Saints Up Two Spots to #6 In National Poll

Off to a 17-1 start to their 2014-2015 season, the Seward County Lady Saints have risen to #6 in the latest NJCAA Top 25 poll as released by the NJCAA Thursday.

The #6 ranking marks the sixth straight poll that Seward has been in the top 10 and the 19th straight NJCAA Top 25 poll that the Lady Saints have been ranked in.  Moving up two spots from their #8 post that they held for the previous two polls, the Lady Saints #6 ranking marks the highest ranking for a Lady Saints team since February of the 2011-2012 season.

Joining Seward in the top 10 is fellow Jayhawk West member Hutchinson who tops the poll along with defending National Champion Trinity Valley at #2, followed by Chipola, Northwest Florida, and Eastern Arizona to wrap up the top 5 and New Mexico, Iowa Western, Odessa, and Walters State behind the Lady Saints.

Seward will put their ranking on the line Saturday night in El Dorado, going up against a Butler squad that has won 33 straight home games in the Power Plant.  The Lady Saints and Lady Grizzlies will tip off in a 2:00 matinee with coverage provided by KSCB and IHigh.
