The Seward athletic department announced Thursday, the addition of two volunteer coaches to their coaching staffs. Austin King will be assisting with the baseball team, while Tate Cain will be helping the cheerleading squad.
With the recent developments in Houston, Texas and surrounding areas, the Seward County Athletic department will be hosting multiple hurricane relief events. The devastation has struck many current and former Saints and Lady Saints, therefore all monetary, non-perishable food, or other donations will be sent directly to former Seward students and their families. With help from the SCCC Booster Club, there will be an account set up for all funds to be collected and distributed.
The academic recognition continues for Seward County athletic teams, as the 2016-17 KJCCC academic report was released Monday (Aug. 7) with three SCCC teams earning the top cumulative GPA in their respective sports. Men and women’s tennis, along with women’s basketball, all earned the highest GPA in their sports.
LIBERAL, Kan. (June 12, 2017) – Seward County student-athletes continue to excel both on the field and in the classroom, as 28 Saints qualified for national academic honors for the 2016-17 school year. This was the fifth straight year that Seward saw an increase in NJCAA All-Academic winners.
