2019 Fall Season Underway
Liberal Kan.- With Liberal's weather still in the 90's it does not feel like fall yet but the Saints Baseball Fall schedule is well under way. Having 3 games last weekend against Clarendon College, and on Tuesday against Garden City all at Brent Gould Field, it seems like the Saints Baseball team never left. Bring back 9 sophomores and having 6 red shirt freshman it is a competitive fall season for those starting spots. Then adding in 15 true freshmen looking to make an impact on the team immediately brings more versatility to the team come next spring.
Ending last season with a 26 – 27 overall record and winning 1 out of the last 10 games the returning Saints enter the fall season with an extra chip on their shoulders. This weekend Saturday September 14th, the Sophomores will head to Wichita, Kansas to compete in the All-Star Game. The next time the team will compete will be the following Saturday September 21st, vs Seminole State College starting at 10am CT and then later that same day facing Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa at 1pm in Tulsa, Oklahoma on the campus of Oral Roberts University.
